About Us

Long family history
in Hard Metals

George Winkworth - Father and Grandfather - started out as a coppersmith in 1946. George worked on prestigious projects, including London’s Smithfield Market in 1964, which we were proud to re-roof in 2023 as part of the historic building’s transformation into the Museum of London - as pictured here.

Today, the business is led by Father and Son, combining Steve Snr’s 40 years of experience in hard metals with Steve Jnr’s experience in business as a Chartered Accountant.
